Sweet Orange Organic essential oil is probably one of the most known essential oils, second only to lavender. It is widely used for its strong aroma and for its therapeutic properties. The oil can be extracted from the peels of the orange fruit by cold pressing or distillation. The oil contains an excellent blend of both monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes, including a high limonene content that sets it apart from other citrus oils. Of all the citrus oils, orange oil is one of the most effective at fighting free radicals. This makes it a good oil to use on acne prone skin, or if you are trying to protect your skin against UV damage (which causes premature ageing).
